Tips for installing your submersible heater:

1. Always keep the heater rod fully submerged.

2. Do not bury heater rod under gravel/sand, as gravel doesn’t conduct heat well and it could cause the glass of the heater to crack.

3. heaters work best when placed in close proximity to your filter or water pump so that the water can be constantly circulated past the heater.

4. Before removing from the water, unplug and leave the heater in the water for 15 minutes. Allow the heater to cool. Be sure to unplug the heater during water changes or regular maintenance.

5. For larger tanks (50 gallons and up), consider using two heaters placed at opposite ends. This ensures even heat distribution and acts as a backup if one fails—because no one wants a chilly fish emergency!
